I Bought TalkingPhotos Almost 2 Years Ago. Here’s Why I’m Still Comfortable Recommending It.

AI software can look impressive during launch. The harder question is what happens months later: does the app stay online, does development continue, and does it improve as AI video technology changes?
I purchased TalkingPhotos during its original launch almost two years ago. Since then, my experience has been that the creator has kept the software alive and continued improving it. A recent third major update is exactly the kind of development I want to see in software I intend to keep using.
I have a few other tools I’ve used for three years or more, and that experience has changed how I evaluate software. Vendor reliability and continued development now matter to me more than a flashy launch-week promise.
Turn static characters into talking, singing and moving videos.
TalkingPhotos is an AI video application built around bringing images to life. It can work with human photos, cartoons, animals, objects and generated characters, then create talking, singing, dancing and action-based videos.
Talking Videos
Upload or generate a character, then use text-to-speech, uploaded audio or an in-app recording to make the image speak.
Singing Videos
The current 2026 version highlights improved lip-sync and motion, including characters performing while playing musical instruments.
Actions & Movement
Dancing and 40+ actions are complemented by the newer Avatar Action Replicator, which uses a reference video to reproduce movement.
Seeing the workflow is more useful than reading another feature list.

The product I bought did not simply stay frozen in time.
The core remains turning static images into speaking characters with lip-sync, expressions, voices and multilingual support.
The current toolkit covers human, cartoon, animal, object and fantasy characters, plus generated characters and face-swap workflows.
Storyboard and built-in merging let you connect generated scenes instead of treating every output as a standalone clip.
The current release highlights improved AI singing, Avatar Action Replicator, AI Face Swap, AI Avatar Swap and CloneVoiceAI integration. Continued development is a major part of the value for me.
There is considerably more here than “make a photo talk.”

Create character-led vertical videos, talking objects, animals and other short-form concepts.

Create spokesperson clips, explainers, introductions and character-based promotional content.
Education
Animate a teacher, mascot, illustration or character to present educational material.
Entertainment
Singing, dancing, fantasy and animal workflows naturally suit creative entertainment content.
Client projects
The current All-Access offer states commercial use. Check the current license for your exact client scenario.
I recommend it, but I wouldn’t describe it as magic.

My biggest positive is that I bought it almost two years ago and development continued.

△ Buy for a real use case
If you have no need for character-led video, a long feature list alone is not a good reason to purchase.

My recommendation is strongest when you will actually use the format.
It makes sense if…
You regularly create social, YouTube, marketing, educational or entertainment video and can see yourself repeatedly using animated humans, cartoons, animals, objects or fantasy characters.
I would skip it if…
Your work is mainly conventional screen recordings, live-camera video or editing-heavy productions and you have no real use for animated characters. I would not buy it simply because an AI demo looks entertaining.
Why I’m still comfortable recommending TalkingPhotos.
There are newer products I could promote that may pay a larger affiliate commission. That is not enough reason for me to recommend them over software I already know.
I bought TalkingPhotos with my own money during launch. I’ve had it for almost two years. The software stayed alive. The developer continued improving it. New functionality arrived, and existing users received updates.
I cannot promise every generated clip will be perfect or predict the terms of every future release. But my recommendation is based on actually owning the product long enough to see what happened after launch.
